Vivek K. Singh

I am a second-year doctoral candidate in the Department of Statistical Sciences at the Duke University, where I am working with Prof. Peter Hoff and Prof. Simon Mak. Previously, I completed my bachelor’s degree in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, where I was advised by Prof. Dootika Vats.

My research explores how the geometry of a dataset can be used to create better methods for statistical inference. I’m currently focusing on linear unmixing models and hyperspectral imaging datasets.
